Hello again, Joe, and thank you for this. However, although I have followed your instructions as closely as I was able to, this has not solved the problem. When WiDi connects now, I see only the PC desktop wallpaper frozen, without any icons or content and without any mouse cursor.
As I say, I followed your instructions as closely as I was able to. The following are the things I was not able to do:
- Did not delete C:\ProgramData\Roaming\Intel, as there was nothing in the Roaming folder after uninstalling the software.
- Was not able to delete C:\ProgramData\Intel, because, when I tried to do so, a message came up indicating that it was in use by another program (even though I had not opened any programs).
- When I selected custom installation of the wireless software, there was no option indicated called "Wireless Software Extensions". However, I selected and installed all of the options that were shown.
Is there something more I should do?
Thanks, Joe.
